I agree! Although I don’t care for leases, I would have made an exception with the VF8. It would have allowed me a way to unload the car if issues were never resolved or purchase at the end of the lease. It would have alleviated one of my main concerns of getting the car. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping they have learned from their mistakes.

I agree with Natalie, you should have been offered a replacement (new) car under the original terms. Surprised this was not offered or addressed by Vinfast as this was a lemon. Have you looked at the California lemon law to see if this applies?

Another thing you may have to consider is whether the “Free Vacation” will be reported to IRS. If so, you may get stuck paying taxes for your “Free Nights”. I won a free cruise and ending up paying taxes on the “rack rate” price of the cruise. Nothing is free.

Just to follow up on my post, Vinfast called regarding my post. They confirmed 2 service centers are currently open, 1 in Northern CA and 1 in Southern CA. The service center in Southern CA is in Carson. This is the 3rd time Vinfast has reached out to me regarding comments posted so it good to know they are reading our comments.

How will trade-ins and financing be handled?

In late June, I received an e-mail from Vinfast giving an update and mentioned covered services such as scheduled maintenance would be included. Please confirm what these services are?

At some point, I heard a spare tire and tow hitch would be an option, can you confirm and what other options would be available?

With the shorter range of the CE, is the expected range of the regular VF8 Eco or Plus expected to change?

Can you share information about subscription services, types offered and their cost?

I was told by a Vinfast rep In Santa Monica that if a car would need to be serviced longer than 5 hours, a loaner car would be offered. Can you offer more details?
