Tranparency is the key to any business success. There are multiple mixed reviews on the VF8 and VF9 from VinFirst Pioneer in Vietnam and here in the States. Most issues with the cars are around software and rough ride. It would be best vof VinFast to create a forum to communicate about their works and support to its customers. We would love to hear if VinFast truly taking criticisms as positive and work toward improving its products. For example, does VinFast engineer work on fine tuning the suspensions system to make the ride more comfortable? Or is there an option to upgrade the suspension to air suspension for the VF8, and so what is the cost?

While it was a nice response, it didn’t address the issues or questions Hieu had. While VinFast has been promising to communicate with pioneers since early last year, it has not succeeded or shown transparency throughout the process.

Can all or most issues with the VF8’s be solved with software updates? Does this include issues with suspension?

When you say “to reach perfection might take time” are you referring to later cars like vf5, vf6 & vf7 or current vf8 cars in the 2nd shipment?

It would be nice to know what Vinfast and engineers are doing to address the issues other than software updates. Help us to understand what is being done so we have hope and feel comfortable holding out for a vf8.

It was a shock to hear Anh Nguyen, Vinfast CEO describe negative reviews as “Noise”. I don’t understand how a CEO can be so dismissive of reviews and concerns Vinfast pioneers who have leased cars are experiencing.

        Hi Gabriel Rodriguez,

Thank you for the comment! At VinFast, we understand that there are a number of opportunities for improvement in terms of product quality, and we have been listening closely to our community and collecting feedback on a daily basis.

Software issues can be resolved by Over-The-Air firmware updates. In fact, we are currently working tirelessly to roll out FSR 9.6, a firmware update that is expected to fix a bunch of software-related issues that have been hampering our customers’ experience with our vehicles. Other issues mentioned in recent reviews are being closely examined as well, and we are aiming to deliver the fix for them with this and the coming updates.

The driving feel is a whole different beast as feelings can be very subjective. On top of that, VinFast has to abide to numerous safety regulations regarding design. Therefore, design changes might take a bit longer to implement. But rest assured that we appreciate all of your feedback so far and work is being done in the backend to make our current vehicles and future iterations and models more satisfying to drive to the majority of drivers. We will reach out to our customers shortly on this agenda. Among all endeavors across VinFast disciplines, the latest VinFast Lease Forward Program is the initiative to bring better customer experience. Our customers can expect to be put in the driver seat of a brand-new and much-improved VF 8 after just 12 months! You can find the details for this new program here: https://vinfastauto.us/vehicles/vf-8ce.

Thank you for your time and have a great day!

I don’t think she referred to “negative reviews” as “noise”. I believe she was talking about those who said VinFast could not build a car from day one, let alone a car that can be exported to a country like the U.S. with strictest requirements. Some of the websites, in order to get views, put that on their headlines because they know most people don’t read the articles in full and would be happy enough to jump to conclusion with just the headlines.

As far as asking VinFast what to do with the “rough” ride?! I am driving the VF8 for almost 3 months and I haven’t noticed any “rough” ride with my VF8 Plus!

I honestly think a lot of reviews are full of biases and out of proportions. I actually emailed one of the reviewer and have him had a piece of my mind. BS journalism. Attention seeker. The language itself seems unfair and unbalanced in term of judging a product. Actually their reviews make me want to purchase my VF9 even more.

I am sure VinFast is trying hard to break into the competitive USA and western markets. With that said, they cannot afford to make any mistake and I hope they try harder to achieve an optimal product we all can enjoy!

My VF8 Echo firmware version just got updated. I think that it is worse than previous version. The alerts keep coming up constantly even I waited at least 1 minute before driving after starting the vehicle.

It has been very frustrated. I really like the people at Vinfast, but with this condition, I really cannot drive this car and feel safe.

The profile setting still does not save other than just the side mirrors…

I will contact Vinfast services tomorrow. If they can address this, I will return this car due to it is not being safe driving.

This is at least the fifth times that I have to reach out to your service center. Even after the firmware upgrades, things are not working as it supposed to work. Different kinds of alerts constantly come up. The settings are not saved. I am losing faith in you guys. Please know that I really want Vinfast to be successful in America, but it does not look good.
