Panoramic glass ceiling – expensive equipment on luxury car models selected by VinFast to bring to VF 9 promises to bring a unique experience worthy of high-class customers, emphasizing convenience and comfort. on the car.  Bring the whole sky into the car  The panoramic glass roof first appeared 70 years ago (1953) on the Lincoln XL-500 concept car. Different from traditional sunroofs of only a few inches, the panoramic glass roof was a breakthrough at that time with a transparent roof running from the windshield to the rear of the car. Although it was predicted to be a design of a new era, the “large roof” on the Lincoln XL-500 was not popular then because of many technological barriers.  The transparent panoramic roof design gradually appeared later on modern car models. Most of them are luxury cars with owners who are extremely demanding customers and demand a difference in experience. We can mention famous names such as Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, Ferrari GTC4Lusso, Bentley Continental GT, Porsche Panamera 4 Sport Turismo…  In terms of design, panoramic glass roofs on famous car models bring luxury and appeal to owners. Instead of rigid iron frames, large glass panels cover the entire sky, creating…

4 tips to help protect electric cars in winter

Park your car in places with suitable temperatures As mentioned above, parking in very cold weather will reduce battery life and operating performance as well as cause equipment and machine parts to be adversely affected.  Therefore, drivers should try to park their cars in places with moderate temperatures such as under cover, indoors… to help the car be better preserved.  Do not start the car for too long in winter Do not idle the car for more than 20 seconds when starting the car in winter. Users should stop starting for a period of time and then do it again if the car still does not start.  Otherwise, this could cause your starter to fail or cause the battery to drain more quickly.  Turn off devices, focus on startup In order to maximize the power source for starting the engine, car owners should turn off devices such as radio, air conditioner, etc. to make starting electric cars easier in winter.  Car care and maintenance in winter Because of the above problems, car owners should regularly bring their cars to their maintenance facilities for inspection and car care to promptly fix and replace equipment in conditions of plummeting temperatures.  In addition,…

Smart headlight projection angle in VF8 – Safety for the opposite vehicle to protect yourself

When using the headlight system on VF 8, the car owner can activate automatic mode (AHB) or perform manual operations depending on the actual situation. In particular, AHB’s automatic feature will activate the headlights based on information collected from the sensor to help the driver focus more when driving. What is the headlight system on VF 8? What are headlights? Car headlights, also known as high beam lights, have the effect of projecting light at a higher, farther and wider range than conventional lighting systems. From there, headlights provide drivers with greater visibility or a clear view of traffic signs, especially when traveling on the highway at night. Currently, both Eco and Plus versions of the VinFast VF 8 model are equipped with modern, advanced LED headlight systems. LED is the abbreviation of the word “Light-Emitting Diode” which means “diodes that radiate light”. Accordingly, LED headlight bulbs will be made from semiconductor chips with a size of only a few millimeters but contain long-range directional light. With a color temperature of 5000 – 6000 K, a brightness of nearly 1000 Lumen and a lifespan of up to 15,000 hours, LED headlights possess the ability to illuminate quickly while still optimizing…

Why effective battery recycling will soon be required, and why future-proof battery designs should be the main priority

Not only is the battery market one of the biggest in the world, but it is also the one with the biggest growth potential. In 2020, there were 185GWh of batteries available globally. Many reliable sources predict that the market would grow tenfold in less than a decade. A CAGR of almost 27% is projected for the years 2020 to 2030, resulting in a market volume of 2035 GWh for batteries by that time.  However, the recently disclosed data by SNE Research, which rated the overall market volume to 296,62GWh in 2021, which is almost 6% above the predicted demand in 2021, tends to make these numbers look too conversational.  The primary engine for the anticipated expansion is the transportation sector, which also includes the vital EV passenger car market. When commercial EVs are included, the demand for batteries is projected to increase from 100GWh in 2020 to over 1700GWh in 2030. The large growth in demand puts a lot of strain on battery suppliers, who must quickly expand their capacity to produce affordable traction batteries, particularly in Europe.   Since EVs require charging, the overall energy demand will rise sharply as the number of EVs increases. Peak shaving or buffer…

EVs Have More Room, Here’s Why

In comparison to larger gas-powered vehicles, electric vehicles may appear to be small toys from the outside. Don’t be fooled by someone’s size, even if they appear small on the exterior and fit better in smaller parking spaces: In reality, electric vehicles (EVs) cram a maximum amount of space into a minimal amount of space.    Because EVs have fewer moving parts than their gas-powered equivalents, they have more room than their gas-powered competitors. Additionally, many vehicle components are now smaller as a result of design and technological advancements, giving EVs greater space for both passengers and freight.  It’s not just the ICE engine itself is taking more space, but the whole Automotive Drivetrain  No engine equals more room  Engines, gas tanks, multi-speed gearboxes, exhaust systems, catalytic converters, and other substantial components have long been a feature of gas-powered vehicles.   However, EVs just don’t require all those big parts.  They don’t need a catalytic converter or an exhaust system because they don’t burn fuel.  An EV does not require a grille because it does not have a radiator.  Additionally, the motors in electric vehicles only have one speed, which negates the need for a transmission or gearbox.  Smaller components including spark plugs,…

The Skateboard Effect’s Effect on EV Space: A Full-size Interior with a Mid-Size Body

EVs are roomier than gas cars for another reason, smart design. The skateboard system is a design used by VW, Ford, and other EV automakers. Due to where an EV’s wheels are mounted, this method gives EVs a space advantage.    Imagine a gasoline vehicle as a set of skates, and an electric vehicle as a skateboard. The wheels in a pair of skates are positioned rather closely together beneath the skate body. Everything is jammed in between the front and rear wheels; there isn’t much space between them.  Conversely, the wheels of a skateboard are spaced much farther apart under the skateboard platform. EVs still place everything between the wheels, just like a gas automobile, but because of the different wheel spacing design, there is a lot more interior space.  Batteries, brakes, motors, and other essential components are dispersed along the’skateboard’ platform, usually inside the platform to leave a level basis for the EV’s outside framework and interior design. In addition to providing EVs with more internal room than gas vehicles, the skateboard design also lowers the center of gravity of the vehicle, improving handling.  You can quickly see how interior space expands when you consider that EVs require considerably…

The reason why VinES confidently competes with Chinese batteries

Although it is making the Korean and Japanese battery industries ‘smoke’, Chinese batteries do not worry VinES because according to Ms. Pham Thuy Linh – General Director of VinES, they still have certain competitive advantages.  In the past 10 years, thanks to the support of the Government and the exploding green car trend in the country (the growth rate of electric cars in China in a decade has been faster than many decades of growth in the Japanese and European markets). Europe or North America) Chinese battery companies have grown strongly in both output and the speed of battery technology development. Even for car manufacturers such as Tesla, Volkswagen, Hyundai, BMW… equipping batteries from China on car models sold in this market also helps them have a certain competitive advantage.  And CATL is the battery company that has this advantage and has grown rapidly, surpassing LG Chem, Panasonic, SK On, and Samsung SDI to lead the battery supply chain for 6 consecutive years. The explosion of the domestic electric vehicle market also caused another name, BYD, to rise to the 3rd position in global battery market share, even surpassing LG Chem, which ranked 2nd in the field of electric vehicle…

NASA technology helps fully charge electric vehicles in 5 minutes

Experimental technology NASA uses to cool equipment in space could cut electric vehicle (EV) charging times to less than five minutes. This news comes in the context that electric vehicle sales are on the rise and have reached their highest level ever.  The experimental technology was initially developed by scientists to support “nuclear fission power systems for missions to the Moon, Mars, and other more distant planets.” Specifically, this technology provides fuel for “vapor compression heat pumps to operate. From there, EV engines help maintain habitats on the Moon and Mars, while controlling heat and supporting life inside spacecraft.”  Thanks to the “subcooled flow boiling” technique, NASA technology can increase the current through improved heat transfer through the charging cable. This will significantly reduce the time needed to fully charge a vehicle.  NASA explains that an electric current with a minimum strength of 1,400 amps can fully charge an electric car within 5 minutes. Meanwhile, the fastest chargers used in science and industry today only produce a maximum of 520 amps, and most chargers on the market only support less than 150 amps.  A research team from Purdue University, led by mechanical engineering professor Issam Mudawar, said their experiment successfully…
