Newest Vinfast deal even better than VinFirst benefits!
Has anyone seen the latest public deal for renting an Eco VF8? $0 down payment and $249/month. This is roughly $6500 better than my VinFirst deal. I called Vinfast and a sales agent confirmed that they are trying to get rid of the early fleet. This kind of defeated the prestige of being a Vinfirst member in my opinion, though I understand business decision like this needs to be made.
With deals like this I’m not really sure how to move forward when gauging the value of the vehicle. Leaning on shopping around some more before committing to a full purchase.
Does anyone have any advice?

That’s a hard deal to pass up. I have a CE lease at $380 tax included. If I didn’t get it already I would now probably. The ones they selling are the standard versions now no more CE and it has the updated suspension and stuff on them or should. Yes the software has issues car has issues but if you go into this already thinking about it it’s not as bad. It is a startup still working out kinks.
As for the 1 year free charging you will have to call them and ask as I think that promo has ended. Now if you are part of the Charges Up program you have choice of 3 years free EA charging or a home charger

It’s business! The EV sales market now is different from when we got our City Edition. The new deal doesn’t include the one-year free charging like what VF offered to Vinfirsts months AFTER delivery dates (so VF did try to sweeten our deals even after we got the car). It’s unfortunate for us Vinfirsts but I don’t think we can expect anything differently.
What I and some Vinfirst owners are doing is to lease a 2nd car with the new deal. This is good if you plan to keep the car after the 3-year lease. Even if you don’t need a second car at this time, the extra car’s payment will still make it cheaper to do it if you look at the total price of the new car since you will return the CE when the 2-year lease ends. Try to do some calculation and you will see that this solution makes sense since the CE lease payment is much higher than the SE and so is its residual value.

Kinda curious if we swap our CE after a year would we get the new lease special still stay same payment as it advertised. Those of us who got car in March is getting close to decision lol. Oh and the $700+ registration lol

If you choose the Leap Forward program to upgrade your CE to SE, you’ll enter another 3-year lease with a 2024 SE. however, since our 1st year is with CE, we would only have 2 years left of the same monthly payment for 2024 SE.
residual value would still be high since it’s a 2024 model i think.
The lease promotion which ended yesterday was for 2023 SE.
I think VF is still working out the details for the leap forward program. We can press them for answers by complaining to call center 😅
I feel ya on the 700$ DMV bill 🥹. I decided to not go thru with Leap Forward next year, so i paid the renewal fee for our CE already.

Yeah I will probably pay renewal. My CE is. 3 year lease anyways. Did that for state incentives. I do not want to have to pay the taxes again lol

Vinfast entered US market with very big wrong foot. So many mistakes in its strategies and decision makings, starting from pricing to delivering sub standard mileage vehicles and promises that they can’t keep. If it want to continue in US markets, then it should start changing its total organization strategies first by removing top level from Vietnam to put someone from US. You can’t control US market with Vietnam mindset. Even Hyundai took several decades and faced several backlashes before it could able to fully understand the US market. Does Vinfast has that much money and courage to withstand and grow? I think at this moment it is just draining the money out without any thought and strategy. I do have some stocks, but I am sure I can’t sell them for profit 😀. Not sure if they even honor my reservation at the price they promised in the beginning. Just felt like sharing my views being one of the initial subscribers.

Agreed, I paid some 8,000 when I took the delivery of my VF8 Plus and currently paying around $500/mo, Compared to the current deal, its a steal. VF needs to do something to ease my feelings!!!
