    Standard VinFast VF8 Plus

After one month of test driving the VF8 Plus, I am very happy and did not face any issues with the car. The car is updated with the latest firmware Before we received the car . I am a VinFirst, but I had to wait until this August. Once I picked up my car, the driving experience felt smooth, very fast, and rigid. When I have time, I plan to travel to Las Vegas with the family to test the long range distance and see how it is. I drove my car to my company and my coworkers came to ask about the car. Even the Vice-President stopped by at my office and asked if the VinFast belonged to me. I told him the car is made in Vietnam. My coworker asked if he could test drive the car and I let him drive, My coworkers loved how the car looked. At the end of the day, one of them asked me for permission to take pictures of the car. It makes me very proud of owning a VinFast. There’s a funny story, when I was asking to apply for a access sticker to drive the car within the company, the person asked what car maker it was, and I responded VinFast. They asked again if I mean’t Ford or Chevolet, but I responded VinFast by Vietnam. They asked me what model and I responded VF8 and they said they never heard of it. I became a very popular figure in the company as they kept asking me about the car.

When we pick up the VF8 Plus, VinFast gave us a Free Level 2 Home Charger and I bought the parts and installed it myself. It depends on what charger you buy. The Level 2 VinFast Home Charger is hardwired and it connects directly to the circuit breaker panel. There is no need for a NEMA 14-50 outlet. The home charger is capable of charging up to 48 amps or 11.5 kW. I went to Home Depot and bought a 60 amp breaker and a 6/3 WG Romex wire and installed in the circuit breaker panel. If the home charger is from a different company, and not hardwired, you have to buy the NEMA 14-15 receptacle outlet and only charges up to 40 amps or 9.6 kW. Initially, I bought the outlet and I did not know that VinFast gave us a home charger for free. I still have the NEMA 14-50 and if anyone wants it, I would be happy to give it to you. The charger is connect to the solar panel and saves me money. At my company, I paid $20/month to get unlimited charging access. The VinFast Level 2 Home Charger charges from 25% to 90% in about 6 hours.

Finally, thank you VinFirst members for finding all the early problems of the car and reporting to VinFast, so they can fix all the issues mentioned. The VF8 Plus is perfect and has no issues because of all of you helping to improve the experience for others.

I am happy to see you are able to use the home charger trouble free. Base on some of the initial replies, a few owners had issues.
