I have USAA for insurance. As for the 9.6.0.0 update my vehicle is still on 9.5.2.0 but the interface has the recall done so the infotainment is on 9.6 lol. Now just waiting on the vehicle to get the OTA update for 9.6 lol

    Hello

Just picked up my vf8 CE yesterday. While waiting for the car at the Del Amo showroom in Torrance, we called our insurance Wawanesa and was quoted $500 something for 6 months. This average to be just under $100/month. We do have multiple cars on our policy and clean driving records.

      Hi Natalie,

I have Wawanesa too and they didn’t have enough info on the car to provide a quote without me providing a VIN. Just wondering if you had to provide VIN when getting a quote for your VF8.

      Thank you

Vf will give you vin # to call right on delivery date. I think you have about a month to find auto insurance for it. I called wawanesa on delivery date. There’s no generic vin # for vf8 yet. Are you interested in vf8 or vf9?

      Hi Natalie,

      Thanks for responding.

I reserved the VF8, signed a binding contract before Binen signed the IRA. I’m still undecided with all the negative reviews a month or two ago. Waiting to read more reviews AFTER the most recent software update. Hoping most of the issues were cleared up plus I wanted to wait for the VF8’s with 21″ wheels. I had reached out to Wawanesa and was inquiring how much more my insurance would go up. They were able to give me a quote for the Tesla Y without a VIN but not with a Vinfast VF8. I was surprised to read Vinfast sold 850 cars in the first half of this year but wondering how many of those were purchased for car rentals.

Appreciate all your comments on this forum.

      Thank you and take care

VF8 is a new company maybe that explains why Wawanesa couldnt provide a quote for you on the spot. Really 21″ wheel? Sounds awesome.

9.6.0.0 and up is definitely a step up from its previous firmware versions. It is definitely on the right track. I’m content with VF’s progression since March so far.

I got my insurance with 21st Century. With multiple car rate, my cost is exactly $600 for 6 months. Seems like at least 2 other people got the same rate from other Insurance companies as well..

Hello Mr. Bennji Zanabria, as for insurance for VinFast car owners, because VinFast electric vehicles have fully met the necessary standards for importation and are allowed to sell in the US, leading insurance companies in the US are also ready to insure our EVs. Up to now, there have been 14 insurance companies confirming to insure for VinFast car owners such as State Farm, Allstate, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, Encompass, Traveler, Safeco… These are all famous and familiar companies. State Farm and Allstate are the two largest auto insurance companies in the United States. The above list will continue to be extended because VinFast is still working with other insurers on the market. Most of them are willing to insure VinFast car owners.

Did you call your current insurer?! I am sure they want to retain you as their customer..
