i’m a bit late in responding. Totally agree that our Vinfirst pricing should be locked. However, it seemed like US Bank (VF’s backing financial institution) was not confident with VF’s battery leasing program hence the elimination of it. I initially only want to purchase VF8 with intention of leasing the battery due to attractive warranty.
Interest rate are so high for financing cars right now (6 or 7% with my bank), so financing the whole car is tough. We’re leasing for the first 2 years hoping that interest rates would go down by the time we finance the residual value.

Credit Unions is who I typically would use if I can’t get finance through car manufacturer. I live in Washington and BECU is offering 5-5.25% on new car loan since I am banking with them.

Has anyone seen any of these 999 City Edition on the roads in California?

Not yet. For some reason, none has been delivered although someone posted on his FB that he already got one (?)

Negative, they should allow the purchase to the Vin pioneers with the promised price, battery subscription, and when materials become more readily available replace with higher KW battery free of charge. This I might have considered if I was able to retrieve new battery by summer. This would allow VF8s to be on the street and that alone will market the Vinfast brand seeing vehicles on the street.

Totally agree with you even though I live outside of California but would not hesitate to pick it up in California myself.

i totally agree because all pioneer member booked without test drive or even seen physical car. So they need to think about early reservation and that way they can built trust or loyal customer.

if anybody leased a City Edition, they are being very quiet or not online at all. Or there were no takers. For the range, way too expensive.

I seriously doubt anybody would when Tesla Model Y can be had for less money than VF8.

$56K fully loaded VF8 is ok, but Vinfast needs to make sure to include the extended range battery for 270 miles.

It is too high for what it’s worth. 243 miles for $56K on VF8 Plus with T&L which comes out to almost $60K vehicle. You can have a lot of options when 2024 rolls around. A well equipped PHEV costs less than $50K and still qualified for $7500 tax credit.
