I was part of the free charging but changed to home charger thinking j would be able to put charger in the garage. However was not able to do so as our breaker is upstairs and we live in Townhome so was not going to spend money to tear up all the walls so they can run the wire to garage.

However, when I did get the free charging I think they messed up and gave me the plan thru ChargeHub which was for Canada. As America should be thru ElectrifyAmerica. Well if you do end up getting free charging it will take about a week after purchase to get said plan. And if it is on ChargeHub they will not work on EA chargers but will on EVGo chargers. If they can not get the EA credits done that is false advertisement claim as they were advertising EA charging free for 3 years on the ChargeUp program.

I am curious since I am about to put in the lvl2 charger Friday. When you plugged in go to the charging screen then tap the cord tab and that will show the amps it is using. I am curious if we need to manually adjust that when we go to a lvl2 charger. My normal amount for 110 outlet is max 13 amps. So next time you plug in check the screen see if you can adjust the amps it is using

If you recently got a Tesla the performance, range, charging speeds, software and so on will be hard for you to adjust to. Tesla acceleration is much quicker even for just the standard editions. So if you going to compare to Tesla then you will be disappointed

For anyone curious I was told yesterday that the next software update will come on May10. They said this should fix a lot of the known issues. I also figured the update would come after the shipment arrives next week as well. So they are prepped for sales in June.

I am not using lvl2 charger yet. Only using lvl1 but was having same issues with the 110v outlet. However found out that some of our outlets are shared in the garage or one of the sockets on the outlets were not functioning. So moved to an outlet with nothing plugged in and it is fine.

As for your cas is the outlet designated for the EV only or is the breaker being shared with something in the house. I would think you will need a breaker just for the charger itself so it is not shared.

Hello all I finally did an actual Road Test drive yesterday. My wife and I like the car but I was curious on what the actual range was on the CE. We’ll come to find out that it is close to what the normal is according to the estimator. Now I know this is not a real range calculator. However the one I test drove was a red plus that has 0.0 – 0.1 miles on it. So I was the very first person to drive it. The SOC was 95% with estimated 245.5 miles of range. So either the CE are extremely generous on range estimates. Or marketing is being very cautious on range estimates. I am guessing the 2nd one.

The seat was a bit stiff but can get use to it. The lumbar can be adjusted and that helped. One of the issues that this one has which probably just needs updated software is the high setting on braking Regen was not working. An error message was coming up that it was not using high Regen.

The ADAS is nice but did not think it was on until I was starting to go over the line and the wheel would guide it over for lane centering when cruise was not on.

Wife rode in backseat and enjoyed the ride said it was very quiet and like you were gliding in air. Last thing I noticed was the driver’s door was very hard to close. It felt extremely heavy when trying to close the door like it did not want to move.

I have a feeling they will drop the VF8 to probably about 52k with battery. But only time will tell. But being a early reservation holder mine will be around 44k with subscription hopefully.
