    Hi guys

    We have a small FB group for VF owners called VinFast Friend Support. We put together a list of future enhancements for VF8s:

    -Battery Temperature shows on mobile app

    -Sentry mode

    -A way to turn off car like regular ICE cars (currently you need to lock the car to turn it off) >< A way to just unlock the car without turning on car’s computer if you just need to put something in the car or install car seats 😀

    -Turn indicator show on HUB as as well dashboard

    -Schedule charging capability (to take advantage of TOU electricity pricing)

    -A way to reset car computer (like Ctrl+Alt+Del in PC). The volume button doesnt completely reset the car computer.

    Feel free to add more to this list. Thank you

    Their is a way to reboot computer. I think it is brake and volume power for 30s but could be wrong

      Stepping on brake and holding volume button to reset? I havent tried that.

      How long have you had your vf8 and where are you located?

      There is a way to reset the car. Kind of like unplug and replug. You just have to hold the “Lock” button until you see the V on the big screen shutting off. Then wait for about 10-15 minutes to turn it back on. I hope this will help!

    I wish no lagging in video for the back up camera. There is a delay in the display (or slow screen refresh rate?) that if you depend on it and start backing up the car, you might be in unexpected trouble should a fast-going vehicle be crossing your path..

    For the echo version, I wish there is a pull strap on the trunk door to pull and close the back door. The back door is simply too high and there is not much thing to grasp it with.

      I set the height for the trunk, so it doesnt touch the garage door.

      I think you could set it too. Is your car Eco trim or Plus trim?

      Btw, where are you located?

        Not sure you can set that on an ECO model. I have an CE ECO and have not seen any way of adjusting the trunk height.

        I also think it n3ds a strap or something to pull trunk down as if you are a shorter person would be hard to reach.

    I just thought about this one when using ADAS on a surface road, understanding that ADAS is meant to be used on freeway only(?): if the cameras detect a speed bump or a dip on the street surface, the car should slow down to prepare for that instead of keeping the same set speed. I was having ADAS on at 25 mph speed limit but there was a dip on the road. Luckily I stepped on the brake or the car would run over that dip and even at 25 mph, some damages might have been incurred..

    lights on inside of rear trunk lid so when the trunk opens all the way it lights up the cargo area instead of that one sad led bulb on the side which doesn’t help much at night time to see.

        Is your car Eco or Plus?

        If it’s Eco, you cannot set trunk height.

        There’s no place to put it without deleting the map or music widgets. There’s plenty of space on the screen and all I want to see is the outside temp. The outside temp appears on the Vinfast app, so there must be an outdoor thermometer somewhere in the car. It just doesn’t appear anywhere on the screen.

    I just got VF* great Lease

    BUT I CANT find an insurance company to insure it …

    Very hard

    . also car t rolls backwards in a hill when i release brake to accelerate

      I have wawanesa for both of my vf8s: 1 with SDI battery (City Edition) and 1 with CATL battery (Standard Edition). Other owners have coverage via farmers, century etc.

      Try setting your car to Creep on, it wont roll back. Vf8 doesnt truly have auto-hold mode but that’s 1 way to get around it.

      If your drive mode is on Eco, you definitely feel the roll-back. If you’re on Sport, you dont feel as much.

      Another scoop is, my 1st vf8-the sdi’s hill assist is not as stable as my new vf8-the catl.

      I do have hopes they’ll address this issue in future updates.
