VinFast is Vietnam’s first truly global car manufacturer, and the company is now launching a range of electric vehicles. Several of these models are available for purchase in the USA, including the VF8 and VF9 SUVs. But what’s the difference between these models?

Defining the Difference between the VF8 and VF9

    VF8

The VF8 is a medium-sized SUV available in two versions: Eco and Plus. Eco has a range of 261 miles in standard form or 293 in enhanced form. Two motors supply the power with 348 hp available through all four wheels. The Plus version produces 402 hp with a slightly lower range of 248 miles in standard or 278 in extended mode.

    VF9

The VF9 is a larger model. This three-row, seven-seater SUV measures5.12 m in length and produces 408 hp through the same AWD drivetrain as the VF8 Plus, although it has a much larger battery.

You can get the VF9 in Eco and Plus, but here, the difference will be in the level of equipment rather than performance. Both versions of the VF9 offer you a range of up to 342 miles.

    What’s Common on Both Models?

The company offers the battery as a subscription service for both models. The price may reduce if you drive the vehicle less than 310 miles per month. One of the advantages of this service is that the company will replace the battery if it falls below 70% capacity within 125,000 miles or ten years, whichever comes first.

Both models will feature plenty of driver assistance systems. These will include a lane departure warning, parking assistant, 360° camera, and blind spot warning device. They will also have a voice-controlled infotainment system, and the digital cockpit features facial recognition technology.

    Choosing Your Model

These SUVs feature high levels of technology, cutting-edge manufacturing, and eye-catching design. Drive by VinFast to see them for yourself.

But which one would you choose? What do you think of the standard driver-assistance systems on these models? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
