Opening Frunk via touch screen

Instead of manually pulling the lever under steering column to open frunk, there’s another way to open via touch screen.

This method only works on Standard Edition for now since the button disappears too quickly in City Edition. Plus, car has to be in deep sleep for you to see this unlock hood button.

I learned of this way via Owners Manual, pic shown below.

You still have to plug the release to open the frunk, 2 pulls required, or am I wrong?

No. Doing it this way doesnt require the manual 2 pulls.
