How to reset the software for VF8

Some of you might have known, there is a “sleep” light on the USB-C port at the back of the console (red circle in the picture) of the VF8 car. This light indicates whether the car is at sleep or not. Most of the car’s software problems can be resolved through the sleep cycle, and this is the first thing that you should try when any problem emerges. Just lock the car and wait till this light turns off, and only then does the car’s software reset itself. After that, most of the problems would go away. You don’t need to wait 5min, 10min, 15min… like some people suggest, just wait till the light turns off and then unlock and get in the car. Vacating the car is important for this software reset. When the car is occupied, the sensors underneath the car’s seats would prevent it from going into a sleep cycle. Some people tend to use the #10 wrench to disconnect the 12V battery to reset the software, but this method is unnecessary. Besides, this method would erase all the trouble log in the car’s memory, and the technician would have a hard time identifying the root cause of the problem at hand. One of the mobiles techy said that if I press and hold the volume button for a couple of minutes, this light will go off and reset occurs. I was able to get the V on the screen, but the light never went off… 🙁
