Meet The Modern and Sporty VinFast VF 7

With a lavishly modern design, the VinFast VF 7 combines dynamic, avant-garde exterior styling with a spacious, driver-focused, tech-savvy cabin experience. VinFast’s newest midsize entry will appeal to today’s EV buyers who want more interior space, more versatility and even more advanced technologies from their crossovers. Today at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2023), VinFast announced the specifications of its newest all-electric crossover model—the VF 7.

The VF 7’s overall footprint places it on the margins of the midsize crossover segment—at 178.9 inches long, it seems just right for small families looking to avoid the minivan option and big enough to provide ample cabin and cargo space. Look for two rows of seats with room for five passengers and a cargo area with a volume that occupies the space between the VF 6 and VF 8.

The VF 7 will be available in Eco and Plus variants, each boasting a two-motor all-wheel-drive system. With up to 348 hp and 368 lb-ft of torque, the VF 7 is set to propel you from coast to coast.  The midsize crossover is powered by a 75.3 kWh battery pack with an estimated range of 280 miles per charge. It powers a 201-horsepower electric motor and sends power to the front wheels. The Plus version has a maximum range on a full charge of 268 miles, 348 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque. Note that maximum ranges are based on WLTP standards; official EPA ranges will be announced by VinFast when available.

The VF 7 seats five and has a variety of luxury features, with options like premium vegan leather seating trim and a panoramic sunroof. It takes advantage of its SUV-like shape to offer maximum cabin space, offering enough headroom and legroom to keep you and your passengers comfortable in front and back. The Eco trim on both models comes with a steel roof, while Plus trim comes with a panoramic glass roof.

Signature Design

The VF 7 boasts stylish, sophisticated designs, crafted in-house by VinFast and Italy’s world-famous Torino Design, albeit with somewhat more subdued lines than its smaller sibling, the VF 6. The futuristic exterior is highlighted by a signature front light bar with animated LED effects, smooth body panels with flush door handles, a bold A-wing front apron, and an aggressive backend.

Futuristic & Minimal

The VF 7’s interior looks futuristic and minimal. VinFast has done awat with every button possible in pursuit of a smooth dashboard that favors a sleek look to match the design of the exterior, with a dash centered around a large central touchscreen. The VF 7 comes packed with Level-2 ADAS features for all Eco and Plus versions, including traffic jam assist and highway assist, lane-keeping assist, automatic lane change assist, fully automated parking with summon mode, and remote parking capability. Applications will be displayed on a 12.9-inch touch screen while the Plus will increase to 15.0-inches. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-dash navigation are all standard features. The infotainment system features both Amazon Alexa and a built-in voice assistant.
