VINFAST ANNOUNCES PLANS TO DONATE LAND TO SAVE THE MERRY OAKS BAPTIST CHURCH IN CHATHAM COUNTY

Moncure, North Carolina, July 25, 2023 – VinFast today announced its intention to donate up to three acres of property on the VinFast project site to the Merry Oaks Baptist Church to help them save the church from demolition. The company will also assist Merry Oaks in identifying other resources to support the relocation. VinFast has presented an MOU to the members of the Merry Oaks Baptist Church, which outlines VinFast’s plan to donate up to three acres of private land on Christian Chapel Church Road on the VinFast site in Moncure, NC for the specific purpose of relocating the church to a new permanent home. Merry Oaks Baptist Church was built in 1888 and has been a cultural destination for many generations in Moncure. The land the church currently sits on is expected to be needed for roadway improvements to help accommodate the site and future traffic in the area. VINFAST TO HOLD NORTH CAROLINA EV FACTORY GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY JULY 28

Raleigh, North Carolina, July 19, 2023 – VinFast announced it will hold the groundbreaking ceremony of its electric vehicle factory in North Carolina on July 28. This will be the first electric vehicle manufacturing facility in North Carolina, and will help contribute to the supply of electric vehicles in North America and accelerate the global green mobility revolution. VinFast’s manufacturing facility will be built at the Triangle Innovation Point in Chatham County, North Carolina. Covering an area of approximately 1,800 acres, VinFast’s factory is designed to reach a capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year in phase 1. The factory will consist of two main areas: electric vehicle production and assembly. The complex will also house supplementary supplier businesses. The project has received basic permits to begin Phase 1 construction. When the manufacturing complex commences operations, VinFast’s factory will create an ecosystem of suppliers and help generate thousands of new jobs.
