Considering VF has “thrown in the towel” on the USA – I am looking forward to October 1st 2025, when the Federal credits end – We should see not long after VF – Take the next step and do a full pull out of the USA. Its really sad, because having 2 vf8’s I have really enjoyed them, very few issues, and none major. Hopefully they do well in Asia and India and in 2028 try to make a come back over here!

Dont waste your time with a level 1 charger! on a good day you will avg 1kw an hour – to charge from 20%-80% would take you 2.5 days! – Invest in a 40, 48, or 50 amp charger , get it directly wired into the breaker – bypass the wall outlet – if you use a wall outlet you will only be able to use 80% of the amps (example using a wall outlet with a 40 amp charger you will only be able to use 32 amps) – if you get a 40 amp charger have the electrican wire it directly into a 50amp breaker – if you get a 48 or 50amp charger have him wire directly into a 60amp breaker – if you get a 50amp you will avg 11kw hour – which means you will be able to charger from 20%-80% in just under 6 hours.

Yes – we charge both our vf8’s everyday – No issues

We charge both to 100% – if your leasing it – its a no brainer as the battery has a full warranty thru your lease.

If you bought the car out right and plan on keeping – You should prob charge 80-90%.

You need to update your firmware – it is a well documented bug!

You need to contact your service center and request the May 1st 2025 firmware update – 8.3.10.11 – That will address your charging issue! Also you will get new features – including charging scheduling – auto hold (no more rolling backwards or front wards) and a few others – I have had it installed since May 3rd, love it!

Why would they need to reimburse you if you are charging at a level 3 location? FYI, I also have 2, 2024 vf8 plus’s and have zero issues with charging at home or at thrid party locations, like evgo, ea, etc!

A 100kw charger (LEVEL 3) will charger the car from 10% to 70% in an avg of 31 mins. – The battery max’s out at 150kw max charge. If you have a level 2 charger at home thats at least a 40amp, it should be more than enough to keep your car charged every night!
