Much like all the promises from VinFast, sadly it was a lie.

Update after 7 Months:
VinFast Promised to fix all of the issues however, as of today we still cannot charge the car reliably.
- The constant faults of the safety equipment: see attached photos
- Unable to charge the car at home.
- Charging fails every 10 minutes
- Apple Play has never worked
- The 360 cameras don’t work
- The driver door handle unlock button doesn’t work
- The car rolls backwards on hills and there is a delay in the response of the accelerator to catch the car. We are worried we will hit the car behind us
- The climate control settings do not work
- The car audio system stopped working along with all warning chimes and turn signal indicators
- The Vinfast app does not support the car.
- Remote control won’t work
- vehicle errors don’t show up when they happen on the car
- The squeaking at the back of the car
- This has been repaired twice and comes back as service is doesn’t have the replacement parts to resolve it
We have started requesting Vinfast to buy this lemon back.

It does look nice, however if it is anything like the VF8 ( a safe bet) the car will be a nightmare and not work.
It had such good promise and then fell flat on it’s face and VinFast has left the customers out in the cold with empty pockets.

We were not aware of this promotion. VinFast has not been very good at communication.
VinFast also offered to pay for reported bugs, $100 for a bug, $300 if they had to take the car. They have taken our car twice and we have had several issues and never seen a dime of compensation.
VinFast has turned out to be a failed experiment.

Update:
Service came and picked up the car and provided a loaner. I was requested to provide the list of issues that I am seeing, which I did and they are looking into the car.
Interesting findings with the loaner:
1. In my car I am unable to get my phone to automatically connect to the car. It says it’s connected but I always have to go to setting on my phone and force it to reconnect and then bluetooth will work, but apple car play will not connect. In the loaner I was able to add my phone and car play started. Now when I check the car, it starts automagically under the Vinfast profile.
2. The climate settings in the loaner car remember the temperature and fan settings the last time I used the car.
All this has me thinking that there is a profile issue rather than a software issue for some of these things but we will see what the engineers say.

Having the same issue. The car wont charge for more the 20 minutes (2% put back into the battery) and then turns off. I use the same plug to charge my other car (Tesla) with no issues. I was monitoring the charge in the span of a minute charging cycled from 2 amps to 30 amps to 7 amps to 2 amps then shut off. In talking to service this is a known issue, however service has no updates other than it’s been reported. Today I spent 5 1/2 hours trying to charge the car and it only improved by 12% (59% to 71%) and it falls further behind every day. 6 weeks of playing this game and I am over this car already. Cannot save any of the setting ing the car, cannot drive 1 mile without every major system reporting faults. I have had services at my house 4 times in 6 weeks and keep being told they are waiting for software updates from engineering. They can’t even provide the license plate mount. Queue the lawyers.
