If the buyer doesn’t pay, then the bank will take ownership of the car and sell it at auction. They cannot do that if VinFast has ownership of the battery pack. Also, you will have issue with Insurance and VinFast in case of a total loss. This battery subscription program sounds good for saving money upfront but will have major headaches in reality. The initial hoopla is over and VinFast should come down to reality to sell EV cars like everyone else. Compete on price and quality. Take a decrease compound loss in the first 5 years to gain market share.
