Sqeaky rear end and nonworking mirror and steering wheel controls
Ive had my VF8 for almost two months now and have been having problems with rear end squeeking and creaking at low speeds. It sounds as if its metal bending. Also, my cars steering wheel and mirror adjustments dont work anymore.
The suspension noises started after I got my car washed during the first week and its gotten worse since. Ive reported the issues to vinfast but they say to keep driving the car until my appointment on the 21st of October but its quite annoying and embarrasing that a new car would sound this horrible.
Im not entirely trusting of the vinfast reps. Each time ive called they say to drive the car and when I inquire if its a known issue they say there have been very few reports of the suspension noises.

I have a humming noise from right rear. Car is currently with Vinfast to be looked at.

Same with my 2023 VF8+ CE. When I first startup the rear squeaks and creaks at low speed. After I get going the sound does not return unless I turn off and back on the vehicle. I suspect it’s the parking break system. Software version is .16, I wonder if the .18 addresses this issue.

It only happens to me when turning right for a few seconds and goes away. Not a big deal to me at the end of the day as put zero down and only pay about $200 a month to lease my plus vf8 for 3 years. Some people have told me that this only happens with the 2023 Plus models but I dont care. I have had the car now for over 2 month and no serious issues and I really love this car.

I get a similar sound when turning right at low speeds, but not all the time. I plan on taking it in to have them look at it. (2024 VF8 Plus – got it in Oct)

I have a 2024 VF8 Plus also that has a growling sound in step with the front car wheels when turning right at speeds below 5mph. It is not consistent, but it is more pronounced when it is colder than 50 degrees F. It is a short vibrating sound consistent with the front wheels turning. Sometimes I hear it when going straight, but never to the left. Took into Vinfast service and let them hear the sound I recorded, but they could not reproduce the sound. They put it on the lift and checked the front end. They could not identify any issues. The tech even road with me trying to reproduce sound. It started raining a bit after leaving the service center. It then made the sound after I came out of the store 15 minutes later and crawled out if a parking space turning right slowly. First instance from new was after a car wash. The other creaking body noise on a plus was already solved by the service center. See my other post for solution.

My service center solved the creaking and squeaking issue coming from the passenger rear door area. They dropped the headliner, removed the sunroof and sunroof frame. Then, they put felt where any metal contact between the sunroof frame and vehicle. No further squeaking or creaking which was happened constantly on turns and bumps that put pressure or twist on the frame causing a creak.

What was the resolution to your squeaky rear end?
I’m concerned about mine as it “creaks” going over bumps and such.
