0 VF PointsMember06/12/2024 at 21:49Anyone else experiencing loud sound of AC compressor fan. It’s quite loud specifically when AC is running on hot days and behavior is sporadic.

Update: Besides the loud AC noise, the AC compressor fan remained on throughout the night even after the car was turned off. I’ve taken the car to the service center and will provide an update on the steps taken to address this issue.

Update 2: The service center successfully reset the CCU ECU, resolving the issue of the compressor running constantly. Since this has occurred twice now, will continue to monitor the situation. However, there is still no solution for the loud AC noise.

I had the same issue, I think. Not sure what fan it was but it was stuck on and my power would drain significantly faster while driving.
They picked it up and took it to the service center, reset everything and a updated the software. That fixed the issue.
Though my fan is still pretty damned loud when you compare it to any other vehicle.

Yes, on hot days that fan is loud and takes hours to shutoff after parking

Yep, I have the same, but it seems to shut down after a few minutes, but it is loud when I first get out of the car.

Same. I’ve pretty much accepted the quarks and wacky stuff the car is doing. Here’s my quick list:
– The loud A/C fan
– the alarm occasionally going off after opening the door with the key and stepping inside
– Randomness of settings being saved
– all day fan in operation
– locked trunk randomly not opening when key is in pocket
– windshield speed display randomly off and on
– general annoyance of walking away from car and the stereo is blasting even after hitting lock multiple times
– service warnings pop on the display but the VF app shows everything is working perfectly
– car randomly refuses to go into gear if you stop, sit for bit in park, then try to drive
– cracking sound from the wheels – this sounds like the plastic rubbing against the metal wheels
– no garage door buttons (would be a nice software upgrade)
– auto windshield wiper does not work
– Media button on steering wheel stopped working after a few weeks (volume up/down, next song/station)
– driver side handle is already wiggling/loose
– console display is very slow after selection (media, driver settings, etc)
– Small Time display – hard to find while driving
– terrible computer awareness of remaining mileage and actual energy usage
– battery bleed – I lose 2% each day by it just being parked
– poor feel when pressing the accelerator – the delay is terrible – press, then wait, then it goes
– best range is around 242 miles on a full charge (100%) since new – about 2.75 miles per kWh .. so about 90% of what’s advertised
– the usual.. regen braking, regen braking error when battery is 100%, scary lane maintenance, random speaker sound, stiff doors, no pre-drilled license plate front and back, VF app randomly finding the car and sometimes not, random beeping that i can’t figure why (it’s not the outside sensors.. i made sure)
– heavy driving/feels clumsy – not great steering responsiveness (ok, now i’m just complaining), easily scratchable console, plastic-y charge door,

Many of the same issues I deal with.
I’m curious, what version software are you using. I’m still on V10, been waiting for months to receive the new update V12, which I hope will address many of my complaints!

I have exactly the same issue. Loud fan noise comes on intermittently and it would not stop and drian the battery. The only way I found so far to stop the internal fan running is to plug in the charger. However it is a problem for me to drive long distance to work and only to find out later the battery had been drianed from 50% to 30%. Own the car for 2 months with this ongoing issue!
