This whole “city edition” is absolutely ridiculous! Especially without communicating such a fact well before shipping them.

It would have been ok if the battery subscription was still an option. Plus that would reduce the price by $15k. Range is not an issue as my daily is 25 miles.

I think they just can’t meet the range that they promised so they listed the first batch at 180 miles and I guess they hope they can improve on the SW side to get back to closer than the range they claimed.

Also all their published 200+ range are WLPT which is usually more optimistic than the EPA.

I really hope it is that simple and nothing else. As is I’d be aok with the new range IF they kept the battery lease option. Would really have liked to be a fly on the wall during THAT discussion.

Heck, they didn’t even ask us for our opinion as reservation holders. They don’t communicate very well at all.

from what I watched on reviews from Vietnam car reviewers on youtube, this 180miles EPA is the same range as the VF8 they delivered to customers in Vietnam.

Yeah WLTP range is more likely on a machine running while EPA is realistic driving range. Meaning for EPA they actually drive the cars around in real world driving habits for more accurate readings which equals lesser estimated range than WLTP range. That is why when I was reading 273 miles thought not bad for EPA but it was saying that is WLTP estimates which burst my bubble

From what i read the WLTP is about 10% more optimistic than EPA.

So the 273 miles would be around 240, which is still decent. Same with the VF9 369 would become about 330.

But I guess they missed the 240 mark by 25% and only get 180. I really doubt they can recoup that much with just SW tweaks. So my bet is that the next batch won’t achieve their promised range either. We’ll see. 🤞 for me if they can get the VF9 around 300 miles EPA that would be good enough

Close to 200 range is fine for me; at current price. What is required is the battery lease. Kinda looks like that option is slowly disappearing. Almost completely gone from website.

        Having second thoughts.
