Just a random thought on what it would take for me to lease the CE (city edition) I figure if the lease was 249 for the ECO and 299 for the Plus along with a free home charger with install and unlimited DC charging at Electrify America and EVGO I likely would be on board. How about you would this make you consider a CE… poll is below. If not comment on if anything would make you consider a CE.

I’d buy the CE right now if the battery lease option was available. That would drop the price by around $15k-20k. Range of 179 is fine for me as a daily driver (and we still would have an ICE vehicle).

I mean, you can’t lease a decent ICE car for 249 a month anymore, so of course I’d take it… but why on earth would Vinfast ever lease them for that? At 249 a month that would be 9k in payments. Subtract 1500 for charger installed – 5400 free charging at 150 a month = 2100 in actual money applied to vehicle cost for vinfast) There’s no way that’s a sustainable plan for them. They can’t expect a $45000 car to have a residual value of $43000 at the end of 3 years.

the lease makes no sense. It’s far too short at 2years and the price is still too high for the range.

The MSRP needs to come down significantly to make the lease option affordable. Residual value is a show stopper for low monthly lease payment yet high MSRP.

I think an only 2 year least is quite silly and few would choose it.
