Since everything has been kind of negative (Vinfast self inflicted) I thought I would do a quick poll on everyone’s favorite color. Mine is the deep ocean (green) with blue interior.

The poll only allows six options so I left off white and black but feel free to comment if either one is your favorite.

Hopefully they will just give those who converted to an order the $7500 when at time of order it makes no sense to have everyone file taxes get denied then come back to Vinfast. The cars clearly don’t qualify so why extend the process.

If that response is correct It would appear that the standard battery just didn’t do well in EPA testing and so they called it a city edition it may need to go through some software tweaks to get better range. This is what happens when rushing to get a car out.

It could be possible they are using the same testing regime as the VW group those cars usually exceed EPA. However if you read the fine print it states range is based on a simulation and has not been EPA tested meaning after EPA real world could be 140-150 good for daily but not for weekend trips I should be able to drive my 60k plus car without worry

Yes I got the same email as well. I’m not sure what they are doing with there pricing scheme. This city edition is a complete failure at this price. I’m not even sure how they are getting 180 miles if all the cars have a 87 kWh battery if 84 is usable eff would be around 2.1-2.2 which for a modern EV is unforgivable

Vinfast has a direct to consumer model. Trade ins will be welcomed.

I believe it’s more of a software/firmware issue. It is quite a serious issue as it appears that the vehicle is becoming unresponsive in the middle of the street.
