Hello Ashfaque, thank you for being a community member! Our sales plans include expanding out of California once we have begun our deliveries and further establish our footprint. At this time we are not offering delivery outside of California for our VF8 City Edition. Please follow our website and social channels for updates

I’m a little disappointed nothing has been shared regarding the plans for expansion. I’d rather see them opening up some regional service centers/dealerships vs plastering California. (IE NYC, Chicago, Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, St Louis, DC, etc.) I think they could cover the majority of us if they opened 10-12 dealerships in big cities and really could quickly if they contracted with another manufacturer for service. Communication really hasn’t been a strength of Vinfast so far :/

I asked the same question since I am in Washington. I was told to arrange a 3rd party to deliver the vehicle or come down to drive it back myself.

I remember when I was in the market for the Ioniq 5 (Didn’t end up getting it) I would have flown clear across the country and drive back to California. Maybe something on previous reply would be a good idea. Pick up in CA and drive back home.

The difference is that Hyundai has dealerships all over the US. If you pick up your car in CA, drive away and it needs some servicing you’d have to go back to CA with it… Especially a new model may have recalls.

That is one of the reasons why deliveries are only in CA at first release. The servicing has already been logistically organized and have the headquarters here as well. I do believe they already have the contract for the mobile techs for VINFAST however, they probably working on training them as we speak right now.

I live 40 minutes from 2 showrooms and even I don’t know exactly how mine will be delivered yet. Or if I’ll have to go get. Hope they pay for an Uber. 🤪

As far as I am aware they will eventually. However, only VINFAST knows that answer. Right now all the vehicles coming in at first will more than likely only be for CA deliveries until they get it all set up. Now you can have your VINFAST delivered to SAN DIEGO and you pick it up their and drive it home or you might be able to set up a 3rd party delivery service after signing for the car. I am not sure they will ship to other states right off the bat. I think they will focus on mainly CA deliveries as they already have showrooms in the state and probably set up the logistics for everything their first.
